Ndidi Nwosu won the fifth gold in the women’s -73kg Powerlifting event. She lifted 140kg to equal the Paralympics Record (PR), which gave her the coveted gold at the event. France’s Souhad Ghazouani came second after she lifted 135kg, while Egypt’s Amany Ali came third.
Nigeria's Ndidi was far behind the two counterparts quite early in the event, but she perfected her strategy to take the giant stride that produced the gold medal in the end. Keep it up, Team Nigeria!
