The Nigerian Navy, on Wednesday, paraded five suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate who late last year kidnapped Nancy Dickson, a younger sister to Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa.
26yrs old Nancy, who had since been freed, was kidnapped last December at her shop located along Okaka Road, Yenagoa, by gunmen who trailed her in a Lexus sport utility vehicle.
Commander of the Nigerian Navy Ship, Delta, Commodore Joseph Dzunve, paraded all the suspects before newsmen at the Navy Base, Warri.
The Navy also announced the arrest of nine crude oil thieves in the creeks of Delta State.
Apart from the suspects, six boats laden with stolen crude and used in ferrying fuel to various illegal refineries, where also intercepted in collaboration with the operatives of Operation Delta Safe.
The abductors of Dickson’s sister were caught with explosives, ammunition and a gun-making machine with which they used to produce locally made guns in Okuama community in Ughelli-South area of Delta State.
