Abducted Commissioner’s 2 Wives Demand N50m Ransom

Abductors of two wives of Nasarawa Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Aliyu Ahmed, have reportedly demanded N50m ransom before they would be released.

The kidnappers had made repeated calls to Mr. Ahmed threatening not to release his wives unless the ransom was paid.
The Commissioner said, “They (kidnappers) demanded that I should give them plenty money, but I told them that I don’t have money to give anybody.”

Mr. Ahmed told Punch in a telephone interview that the kidnappers are asking for N10million.

The gunmen had invaded Nasarawa town on Thursday night, abducted the commissioner’s two wives and took them to an undisclosed destination.
