Bloomberg could be in for a showdown with Elizabeth Warren, whether he runs or not, as he has been one of her biggest critics on the Democratic side.
Centrists, especially rich ones, are said to fear even a whiff of leftism more than the most appalling excesses of the far-right, and discusson of Bloomberg's already headed thataway. But Bloomberg doesn't have political affiliations, just vehicles.
