Nearly 3 million more unemployment claims in U.S. as COVID-19 job losses total 36 million

U.S. jobless claims totaled 2.98 million last week, unemployment is close to 16%

Almost 3 million more Americans filed for unemployment last week.

Today's job loss figures bring the total losses over the last 2 months to 36 million.

The number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits has been in the millions for 8 straight weeks.

No subsidies for workers in America, as some European countries have done during the coronavirus crisis. Even those $1200 Trump signed checks were bungled. And now, government and billionaires are pushing people to go out and work before it's unsafe. This is a recipe for more financial and human disaster, and needless death.
